Unlike very glossy glazes, the matt surface is minimally „grippier“ and has a finer texture. This makes metal marks from cutlery more visible. With matt stoneware, this can't be fully avoided, as it's an interplay typical of the material between the cutlery metal and the matt glaze – much like matt tiles or matt basins. These marks are purely cosmetic and affect neither the function nor the durability of your tableware.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eSmall black dots:\u003c\/strong\u003e In rare cases, small black dots can form on the surface during firing.
